Prof. Dr. Roberto Kaiser Júnior passed through the Cleveland Clinic and the Louis Pasteur University to bring down to Brazil the most advanced techniques in coloproctological surgery. Pioneer of EPSIT in the country, he has returned quality of life to over 300 patients — and today he goes further, spearheading the One Day Surgery concept: high-complexity surgeries with same-day recovery.
In 2001, he was a Research Fellow at the Cleveland Clinic Florida — an institution consistently ranking among the best hospitals on the planet. In 2002, he undertook a Clinical Fellowship at the Louis Pasteur University, Strasbourg — a European reference in minimally invasive surgery.
He returned to Brazil with a conviction: that Brazilian patients deserved access to the most advanced resources available. Dr. Kaiser introduced the EPSIT technique in Brazil — and today, receiving patients from Texas, Florida, and Europe, this conviction proves its worth every day.
More than a surgeon, he became an agent of transformation: the One Day Surgery concept he developed for pilonidal cyst now expands to bariatric surgery, hernias, anal fistula, and hidradenitis suppurativa — showing the world that surgery has evolved, and recovery times have too.
